Where might the oldest city in the US be? It’s not Los Angeles, and it's not Boston. It’s St. Augustine, located in Florida known as COSA. In 1565, Don Pedro Menendes de Aviles saw the coast of Florida from his ship and landed with a Spanish flag in hand. On September 8, St. Augustine was founded. Today, one can visit its Colonial Spanish Quarter in the old narrow streets to get a sense of the Spanish influence. See what this diverse city has to offer! Aside from the Spanish influence you will also find a tad of the English, Greek and Minorcan, Native American and African American influences. Los Angeles shines with its celebrities, but St. Augustine intrigues with its history.
